I had a similar issue after reinstalling Acrobat 2022 Pro DC 64-bit on a new build with Windows 11 Pro 64 OS, where most of my Quick Tools toolbar icons were invisible (clicking on empty locations would open them).
I suspected it was a display issue, and I found that the new clean install of Acrobat had entered my Dell monitor's icm settings into the 3 options for Color Management in the Preferences menu; i.e., RGB, CMYK & Grayscale.
we are stil having issues... today im getting the same thing after loggin into another device. ive tried the fixes above and doesnt seem to be working. could i have any other suggestions on what to try?
Good day. I/We are also having the same issue. Tried the same accepted fixes, to no avail. We need this for work. Any uodpate to when this might be fixed? Also, is there a way to get around this issue?
On a side note, I do see that we now have a web browser version of the full Acrobat DC caled "Acrobat Web", but this does not help us when security is a concern (Proprietary documents), when any of us are working offline, or working while traveling.
I also encountered this issue recently with Acrobat DC Pro. Tried the steps provided by Alfred, but it didn't work. I ran all updates, uninstalled and reinstalled, but didn't work. Since this is in a corporate environment, also logged on as admin and had the user try to login to Acrobat from the admin and still did not work.
Finally, not sure what did it, but I deleted the whole Adobe key in the Policies in registry editor and then uninstalled and reinstalled as a last resort and after reboot, had the user login and the tools all came back. Since I did all those steps together, not sure if that last reinstall did it or the deletion of the whole adobe, but since I did originally reinstall and that didn't work, I think it's probably removing the Adobe key. Not sure if there will be issues if you do delete that, but no complaints from the user since. Hope this can help others.
Hi there, I have recently upgraded my laptop, just before Christmas, and Creative Cloud has been transferred over to it. I only noticed the other week but when I opened Acrobat Pro DC only a small number of tools are now available - not the full suite. It looks like a standard version rather than Pro - it's missing many tools including 'Prepare a form' which is what I need. My version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is 21.0 and it's 64-bit. Has anyone had this issue? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have had Nitro added to my laptop - could there be a conflict with that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
As the application works fine for a day on reinstalling and then starts exhibiting the same behavior, please get in touch with IT at your end to check the network settings and group policies and see if that helps.
I just wiped out my work laptop and reinstalled everything. The Acrobat Pro DC 64 works with all tools. I accidentally installed the 32-version after the fresh image of the laptop installed. I removed it and use the Cleaner to make sure everything is gone. My company installed a 32-bit Acrobat Reader automatically also. I removed it with the Cleaner. I rebooted the laptop and installed the 64-bit Acrobat DC Pro and it works. I have a hard time prior to wiping the laptop clean. I did the same before but it did not work until now. I will be back in 3 days and report the progress. For now, the issue is resolved on my end. Good luck to Louis.
I have gone back to my IT dept. They are currently looking at the licence, because when we look at which apps are avaialable to me - Adobe Pro doesn't appear. I will update you as soon as I know more.
I've spoken to my IT dept and they said they used this download when they added it to my machine - but this didn't seen to stay fully working on my laptop. The tools disappeared after a couple of days.
My co-worker had the same issue. She is trying to do everything just as you, without wiping out the computer. It is impossible to know which group policy blocked the installation or if uninstallation process completely removed everything. That was why I decided to wipe the computer and start fresh. I am glad that I did because the computer runs much better now with a fresh installation. All the tools are working well.
We have removed the app, cleaned the laptop and reinstalled it and now using the 32-bit version of Adobe Acrobar Pro DC. I still have the same issue. The tools appear straight after it being installed but then disappear the next day I go to use it again. I still have a ticket with my IT department but we still can't seem to find a solution.
I have installed Acrobat Pro on a second pc via Creative Cloud. For some reason I see the Reader tools only on that pc even though I am logged in. Repairing the installation, reinstalling didn't help. Activated devices only shows two which is fine. Any ideas on how to enable the full set of tools?
Please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool -docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the direct link -dc-downloads.html and check if that helps.
Unfortunately, I couldn't run the cleaner tool as I use Acrobat in a corporate environment which doesn't allow the execution of "unknown" software. Also, the cleaner page claims that the tool can only be used with standalone versions of acrobat which is not the case here as I had installed Acrobat via Creative Cloud.
What I did try (several times) was logging out of Creative Cloud and back in. Creative Cloud shows Acrobat DC as installed. I deinstalled Acrobat via Creative Cloud and reinstalled it from there. For some reason the version then switched from 64-bit to 32-bit. However, all tools beyond the Reader version are still missing even though the app claims to be "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 32-bit".
I do not seem to be able to update to a newer version. I do not have the Check for updates option in Acrobat. I reinstalled once more through Creative Cloud. However, I still get the version shown above. I do not understand why Creative Cloud would install anything other than the latest stable version of Acrobat.
We are sorry to hear that. Please remove the application using the Acrobat Cleaner tool -docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the link -dc-downloads.html and see if that helps.
The Acrobat cleaner tool is used to remove the Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC application from the system. You may please proceed with the cleaner tool and reboot the computer once and then try to reinstall the application using the link shared earlier.
PDF has been a popular format to share documents. However, it is much easier to make the original document (in Word or PowerPoint) accessible than making the PDF version of the document accessible. The Goverment Digital Service is recommending to publish content in HTML rather than PDF to improve accessibility.
It is always a good practice to make the original document accessible and then convert it to a PDF. You may find guides on creating accessible documents and accessible presentations useful. Whenever possible share the document in its original format.
Unfortunately, Adobe Illustrator does not allow exporting a tagged, accessible PDF. There is a request for this feature since 2017 at Illustrator's User Voice forum. Illustrator created PDFs have to be manually tagged to make accessible.
If you have already provided a document title, the issue could be caused by an incorrect setting. In your PDF document go to File > Properties > Initial View tab > Window Options > Show: from the dropdown select Document Title > OK. Now run the Accessibility Check again and this error should be resolved.
If your document tags tree shows "No tags available", this means the document is not created with accessibility tags. There are two options available to make this document accessible. First and the recommended option is to go back to the original document and export it with accessibility tags. The second option is to manually tag the document, which take time, effort and technical knowledge.
Expand the tag tree. On an element if you press right arrow key it open that tag and left arrow will close it. Walk down the tag tree to see whether the content on the page appears in the correct order. If not you can drag and drop the elements to correct the order.
If you have the original document, it is always desirable to go back to that document andchange the font and re-export the PDF. If you do not have the original document, use editing tools to re-encode the file. Follow the video Fixing the Character Encoding Failed Error from 2mins 10s. to fix the error.
Note: We have noticed Character encoding error with ligatures when using Effra font (ff, fl, fi, ti, ft and so on). In some design software packages ligatures can be turned off using options. How to turn off ligatures in Illustrator

This issue arises when form fields are missing alternative text. Go to Tools > Prepare Form to remediate these issues. Now go to the form field > right click > Properties. Make sure the two properties Name and Tooltip contains meaningful information. For example, if the form field was named Job title you could add the same for both Name and Tooltip. Missing tool tip causes the error "Field description - Failed". Now run the Accessibility Check again and this error should be resolved.
