I think this is the wrong attitude.
We need to be on the offense and let him worry about defense. He should be
focusing his efforts on how to avoid going to prison under 18 USC 241
(http://www.usdoj.gov/crt/crim/241fin.htm) and preserving background checks
on M60s (Patton version: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M60_Patton).
We can never slack off, we need to keep the pressure on them so we can
choose the time, place, and agenda of the next conflict. If they get to
choose then we will incrementally loose.

Don’t give up on the media. Engage them. Invite them to your events. Have lunch with the editors of your local newspaper. Offer them free shooting lessons.
