This course provides detailed review in areas such as customs broker regulation, entry requirements, valuation of imports, harmonized tariff classification, free trade agreements and other duty-free exemptions, use of Foreign Trade Zones and bonded warehouses, fines and penalties, and other regulatory requirements covered by the exam.

July 21 - 22, 2011 9:00 am - 4:00 pm - Customs Compliance for Import Personnel Class
This 2-day course is intended for persons working in traffic and customs compliance positions and others involved with importing. The course will cover the information, knowledge, resources and tools needed to meet Customs’ expectations of reasonable care. Persons completing this course will come away with practical “how-to” information, including (1) what is needed to do the job, (2) how to obtain information and tools, and (3) how to use the information and tools. This course will qualify for 10 points toward the Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) certification.

July 27 & 28, 2011 - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm - Fundamentals of Export Compliance –This two day course is intended for export compliance professionals and management with export compliance responsibilities. The course will provide an in-depth review of regulatory requirements under the Census Regulations, Export Administrations Regulations, OFAC Regulations, ITAR and U.S. Customs Export Regulations. This course will qualify for 10 points toward the Certified Export Specialists (CES) certification.
