of a note that self destructs if the person reading the note can copy
and paste the contents? was a great idea but then i saw that and lost
all interest.

The point is that the one is self-destructed "in the internet". It's
no longer there, and no one can even prove it existed before. Hence,
it's gone. That's why it "self-destructs".

There is no point in trying to avoid the note to be copied, since
anyone can take a screen shot when viewing the note, or even remember
what it says and copy it on paper, or some text editor, or any other
medium. What the recipient does with the note is not our business and
can't be really controlled, even if you think it can.

So, if we choose to avoid the note contents to be copied, we would
only be affecting the usability of the tool but without adding any
real privacy.

Let me show you another scenario to exemplify: suppose someone wants
to prove, that you sent him the note, to a third person. Well, he
can't, because there is not record left "in the net" about that note.
So he could be as well making that up. That's what Privnote is for.

Oh, and you need to trust the recipient, of course. Otherwise, you
wouldn't be sending private notes to him, would you?

Pablo.
