Can and and how do I attach a file to a "privnote" note? If I just
attach it to the email I compose, it shows up in the email, so it
doesn't get deleted after it is read.

Sorry, but attaching files to notes is not currently supported. We may
implement it in the future, but we still don't have a planned release
date for this feature.
