Hi,

I am Pravin Patil from IIIT-Hyderabad,India. I am interested in your project
i)develop injectable  app api
ii)build drupal module

I have fair experience with javascript as well as drupal framework.
Can anyone guide me on where to start, are there any existing codes, or any bugs to solve?

Pravin,

Welcome!

Regarding the Injectable App API for Host Pages:
The goal of this project is to allow the host page to appropriately
influence the operation of injectable applications. For instance,
Twitter may want limit most posts to 140 characters to maintain a
consistent use case of their system. The most important aspect of this
project is understanding the message interface between the iframe and
the host page (primarily "postMessage" and the "name" attribute of the
iframe). You will have to build a script used by all injectable apps
that will monitor for messages and call the appropriate injectable
application function. Unless you have ideas of API support that goes
beyond limiting the length of content, I would recommend including
additional aspects of Injectable Application development in your
proposal, such as more robust user controls of injectable app
properties.

I think [1] is a good starting issue for this project. Comment there
if you want to get started on it.

Regarding the Drupal module:
I sent you an invite to the content server so you can play with the
current functionality. The Drupal module's aim is to make it easy for
the Drupal CMS to support content for injection into host pages. This
is possible now without a custom module, but the UX could be better.
Since the Rails-based content server is not yet in Beta, I am not
terribly eager to spend effort developing the Drupal module at this
point, but I am willing to keep talking about it if you are
particularly strong on the platform.

Best,
Sean
