Hi Piyush,

Your compile SDK version should match the support library version. Check the build.gradle file.

The first step is being able to build the application locally.

Hi Shivam
I am trying to contribute to privly-android.However when i try to build the android file, I get the error in the values.xml file (material error - screenshot attached).I have looked up the web and tried certain things but this is not going off.I am using compile version 22 and build version 22.0.1.I know that the application is written for 21.0.2 but shows more error in my case when i use that build system
Please guide me through that.
Also provide me some issues on which i can work.
Looking for your suggestion

Hi...
I am interested in the advanced android application project for gsoc 16
After reading the description given,i figured out that we have to generate sharing facility via NFC code or QR code.
So what are we going to do after we generate a successful sharing facility.
Which types of files are we going to transfer.?
Please give me clear understanding of what this project plans to approach...

Regards
Piyush

Hi Piyush,

Privly is software for shipping many privacy applications via the web
application stack. Many of these privacy/cryptography applications
will require cryptographic identities.

The idea behind this Android project is to implement key sharing
functionality in such a way that users ignorant of the existence
and security properties of key signing parties will be able to
exchange cryptographic keys while exchanging contact information
in-person.

You should only approach this project if you are interested
in thinking about the security properties of key consensus protocols
and usability. I think a realistic goal for the summer would be to fully
specify the system and prototype a few exchange mechanisms
between mobile devices.
