How to get started

1. Open the opt-in link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/es.secureaudit.privchat (same Google account you used to join this group)

2. Tap "Become a tester", then install from Play

3. Open the app and set up your identity

4. Add me as your first contact so you can actually test sending/receiving messages — you can't test much with zero contacts. Invites are single-use (the second person to scan the same one gets rejected), so reply here or email privchat.wiki@proton.me once you're ready and I'll generate a fresh one just for you.

What to actually do with it

Please try to use as many features as you can, not just install and forget:

- Add a contact via QR code (grab a second device, or a friend also testing)

- Send a few messages back and forth

- Check the fingerprint verification screen — does the flow make sense?

- Try a disappearing message

- Try the PIN lock and the screenshot-block option in "My identity"

- Put the app in the background for a while, then send it a message from the other device — does the notification arrive?

This matters more than it might seem: Google checks that testers are actually engaging with the app before granting production access, not just that 12 people installed it.

What kind of feedback I want

Anything — crashes, confusing UI, a step that didn't make sense, a design decision you disagree with.

Please stay opted in for the full 14 days if you can — leaving the test early breaks the counter Google uses to evaluate the closed test period.
