Hi there,

I experience, that my alarm gets activated, when the window-magnet is connected together and is un-activated, when the magnets doesn't touch each other?

What am I doing wrong here?

Please be more specific. What device are you using (RPI or WIFi or RF) and what switch are you using?

I am working with a RPI.

And this is the switches.

I have installed PrivateEyePi exactly through the step-by-step instruction and added the correct pins.

That looks like a switch which is closed when magnet is applied and open when magnet is removed. Although I can't be sure from the link you sent.

Are you using the satandard alarm rules options in the config or have you defined rules?

If you are using rules then it should read "if sensor open then alarm".

Make sure you constructed your pull up resistor wiring correctly.

You can use the reverse polarity option on the "location" to switch the polarity of the device.

I’m using the standard alarm rules.

I’ve not made any rules.

I’m pretty sure, that I’ve created a pull up resistor.

I’ve tried to invert the polarity. This correctly inverts the signal, but doesn’t invert the effect om the switch. The switch stays in the same problem inverted or not.

Maybe I should try invert the digital signal with a transistor?🤔
