Hi,

I have a Wireless Temperature Sensor (RF) and I am not receiving any temperature readings at the Pi 3 Basestation when running rfthermtest.py.

Looking at the miniterm.py I get:

a86STARTED--a86STARTED--a86STARTED--a86STARTD--a86STARTED--a86SLEEPING-a6AWAKE----a86BATT2.71-a86STATEOFF-a86SLEEPING-a6AWAKE----a86BATT2.73-a86STATEOFF-a86SLEEPING-

But I get nothing under rfthermtest.py console.

I also followed the instructions at http://projects.privateeyepi.com/home/home-alarm-system-project/wireless-projects/wake-up-an-rf-sensor to WAKE the sensor and get a Temperature Reading manually but I get nothing back as a response. Other cmds such as Reboot, FVer, etc seem to work.
The response returned by issuing a86FVER----- was a86FVER82B--.

Is there something else to check? How can I determine the root cause of this behavior? I also have a Wireless Switch Sensor which works as expected.

Thank you in advance,

Yannis Oikonomidis

Looks like you have the wrong firmware loaded. Did you purchase your sensor from us?

Yes, we received four sensors last Friday (Temperature + Basestation Kit, Water Level, Motion, Switch). The order has been made by Synelixis Solutions Ltd, located in Greece.
Could it be that the thermistor is defect? Also, we had 1M resistor and not 10K as described in the instructions.

Btw, what is the right way to communicate with you? We have already tried sup...@privateeyepi.com and the website contact form with no success. We are evaluating the sensors for further use in a EU Commission project and we would like to have a way to communicate with you for support and next orders in case of successful evaluation.
