Hello,
Do you know if there is an easy way to get local wind data into the PrivateEyePi ecosystem?

Thanks,
Dave

No elegant solution at this time. Our system is aimed at home monitoring (alarm, temperature & humidity). We are planning to allow generic sensor logging in the future. You could log wind as a temperature reading by modifying dht22.py. Instead of calling the Adafruit DHT22 sensor executable you call a wind sensing executable. Then you would get the current reading, historic graph and analytics.

Dave or Gadjet Nut, have either of you seen any good wind speed measuring devices out there for the Pi?  I've been wanting to put together some type of Weather System, and I never could find any wind speed devices.  Thanks.

Sorry to revive a long ago thread, but do you think the following sensor could be configured to report to the JemRF Wireless Gateway?

https://shop.ecowitt.com/products/ws68

It transmits on 915 mhz.  Would similarly like to use Wind Speed and Direction logging in PEP.

Thank you!
