I've seen similar issues posted here.

IoT gateway on Raspberry Pi 4. Sending HELLO to gateway or other device results on "No Reply". Using serial_monitor, if I reboot a module I receive the startup info. Serial loopback test succeeds. It appears that the gateway is transmitting on serial, but not receiving.
