Google phishing pollution is getting worse
My current statistics show that approximately 8 out of 10 phishing
attempts I see (usually between 20-50 a day that escape my server
filters at various local addresses) are tied to #Google, either sent
from Gmail addresses, including payloads that are links to Google
Cloud Platform, or very often both. Most of these are endless
variations of common themes that could be easily detected on egress
from Gmail and/or at the GCP level, but Google just doesn't bother
and is massively polluting the Internet with these scams as a result.
It's getting constantly worse. -L
