SamsungGalaxy smartphones and tablets are some of the most used Android devices. Yet, despite the popularity of Galaxy products, many owners do not realize Samsung developed an application for creating and restoring backups or upgrading mobile devices. Secure Data Recovery, the expert in RAID, SSD, and hard drive recovery, offers a step-by-step guide and tutorial for restoring data to a Galaxy smartphone or tablet with Samsung Smart Switch.
Those with a Samsung Smart Switch backup can restore files to a Galaxy mobile device. These provided backups enable our customers to recover from data loss on a failed Samsung device. However, people can also use Samsung Smart Switch to transfer data to a new Galaxy smartphone or tablet.
Users can install the Samsung Smart Switch application on their computer and Android, iOS, Windows Mobile, or BlackBerry devices. The software can back up calls and contacts, messages, images, videos, audio, and various application data, such as Calendar or Notes. However, Samsung Smart Switch can only restore data to a device in the Galaxy product line.
Creating a backup with Samsung Smart Switch on your computer and restoring a Galaxy smartphone or tablet depends on the operating system. Following these instructions can help users migrate their files to a new Samsung mobile device.

I just performed factory reset, samsung s20+ and saved all data to sd card using smartswitch.
All has been reatored except bookmarks. Ive searched sd card for bookmarks and sqlite per what ive read so far.
I dont think i had sync on either.
Thanks for the reply.
I just opened new tab and it says 34 sec saved, which is all new, so it looks like no data saved.
I look in sd card, and theres a smartswitch folder, but nothing about Brave or browser.
Ill look gor chrome too.
I am currently facing a tricky situation where my Android phone has a broken screen, and I desperately need to recover the data from Android phone with broken screen. But I am unable to access or navigate my phone's data via the usual methods. And now, I am searching for possible solutions or methods that would allow me to recover data from Android phone using a Windows 11 computer ( I am now using a Windows 11 computer) without relying on the phone's screen.
Oh, that sounds like a bummer, but don't worry, there's definitely a way around this! Having a phone with a broken screen is like trying to make your way out of a maze blindfolded, but thankfully, you can get some tools to help guide you through. Here's a couple of methods to help recover data from Android phone with broken screen.
1. Android Debug Bridge (ADB): This one's a bit techy, but it's a powerful option if you've enabled USB debugging on your Android phone before the screen broke. ADB is a tool that lets your Windows PC communicate with an Android device and execute commands. You can use it to access the device's data and pull the files you need. It requires some setup, including installing ADB on your PC, but there are plenty of guides online to walk you through the process.
2. Third-party Software: There are several third-party applications out there designed for data recovery from Android devices. These programs can often bypass the need to interact with your phone's screen, though success varies depending on the software and the specific situation with your phone. Just be cautious and look for reputable ones with good reviews.
Remember, the best method depends on your phone's current settings (like if USB debugging is enabled) and the condition of your phone. If all else fails, professional data recovery services might be the last resort, but they can get pricey. Good luck, and here's to hoping your data makes a safe journey to your Windows 11 PC!
Remember, this process might not work for all devices, especially if they require specific permissions or if USB debugging was not enabled prior to the screen breaking. If ADB commands fail to access your device, you might need to consider alternative methods to recover data from Android phone with broken screen on Windows 11or consult with a professional.
For Samsung smartphones, you can recover data from Android phone with broken screen using Smart Switch software. Samsung Smart Switch is a versatile application designed to transfer data between mobile devices and backup or restore data on Samsung smartphones. If you've previously backed up your Android phone using Smart Switch, you can recover your data, including contacts, messages, photos, and more, by following a series of steps.
Open the Samsung Smart Switch application on your computer. Once the application recognizes your device, you will see an interface showing your device's details and several options, including "Backup", "Restore", and "Sync". For data recovery, you'll be focusing on the "Restore" option.
Click on the "Restore" button in Smart Switch. If you have multiple backups available, you'll need to choose which backup you wish to restore from. Smart Switch will display the most recent backup by default, but you can select a different backup by clicking on "Select a different backup" if you need to restore from an earlier date. After selecting the appropriate backup, click on the "Restore now" button. You may be prompted to allow permissions on your phone again; accept these to continue.
The restoration process will begin, and a progress bar will indicate how the process is advancing. The time it takes to complete will depend on the amount of data being restored. Avoid disconnecting your phone during this process. Once the restoration is complete, you might need to restart your device to apply all the changes. After restarting, you should find your data, including contacts, messages, and media files, restored to your device.
A friend of mine gave me a phone. S6 Edge plus. But it had some problems so we tried to hard reset it. When I boot the phone it stays on a screen saying 'An error has occured while updating the device. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software' The screen stays on for about 30 seconds and then the phone shuts down. I can only do this while the phone is connected to a charger. If it's not connected to a charger, it won't boot up. When I hold the home + power + volume down buttons it goes into ODIN mode. It has been like this since it had the FPR lock on it and we when tried to install some new software on this phone, the PC of my friend shut down. It has been doing this ever since. I tried to hold all buttons and I tried to just hold my power and home button, but none of this works since it keeps shutting down. What can I do to fix this? I tried the software, but it doesn't recognize my device.
Sorry for the quite delay for posting here at your problem / issue faced, actually you can recover from the ERROR quite simply. Just get ODIN and download your original / stock firmware from SAMSUNG and import it in the AP column of ODIN.
My Mobile Samsung E5520 Is Stuck at This Pop up , and when i try to go in Download , it just Restart and comes back at the same Pop Up . Its Not Going Into Download Mode Just restarting again and again . Tell me Solution Please
my samsung j6 has the same problem but its blinking the creen every 2 seconds and i cant hold power and down because it dosent activate , i tried using the ap file on odin but that isnt doing anything
Install TWRP through Odin (AP slot). Add zip custom rom to either phone or sd card by going to computer files while in twrp, and copy to phone. Force boot into TWRP using combination keys. Install OS and pray it work.
Unfortunately there was a recent update that removed the ability to update software to samsungs original. You can do an attempt to find the file online OR you can download the older version of Samsung Smart Switch that allows you to run the software. It will require the serial number of the device, so if you don't have that don't attempt it with Samsung Smart Switch.
FRP lock will also prompt the user to login the Google account that was associated with the account after a factory reset. Also you can bypass Google account lock with guides which you can find on the internet via Google or YouTube.
hi what about NOTE 9 SM-N960F .how to go to downloading mode after show this message ( An error ha occurred while updating this device software use emergency recovery function in the smart switch PC software ) .

Users can choose to upload their data to Samsung Cloud storage via their Samsung Account,3 where it is kept safe and ready to be downloaded again. It is a free service, with no total storage limit, but individual file sizes are capped at 100GB. There is no need to use a PC or any external memory device, but Wi-Fi4 is required for data transfer.
Temporary Cloud Backup is an ideal service for ensuring data is preserved in various scenarios where users may be worried about losing their data, such as when getting a smartphone repaired. Samsung now includes the Temporary Cloud Backup as part of Maintenance Mode, helping to ensure personal data on a device,6 including private files within the Secure Folder, can be safely backed up for recovery after repairs.
