Hello everyone,
i would like to ask if anyone know how to define the MaxTen and MaxComp files needded to generate the Fatigue Indicator Parameters (FIPs) for prism-fatigue. After doing simulation with Prism-plasticity, i get Quadrature output files labeled QuadratureOutput19.csv, QuadratureOutput39.csv, QuadratureOutput59.csv...... and so on till QuadratureOutput2199.csv (the steps are 20). I had an idea of taking the files from the middle since fatigue is usually taken from half-lyce cycles, but i was not sure.
Any help on this issue will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Timothy

Hi Timothy,

You actually do have the files you need to define your FIPs, it is just that they are not named what you expect. The QuadratureOutput files are reported for a specific time step, so you just need to keep track of the points in the simulation where you are at the point of max tension and max compression. Then locate the QuadratureOutput files associated with those points, and you can rename them to MaxTen and MaxComp, respectively. Typically, we use the files from the final cycle, so the final point of max tension and max compression to compute FIPs.
