This is just a reminder that you need to close out your duel year
processing of the NETSS file. As per the document sent out on
2/22/2012 "2011 Annual Summary of Notifiable Diseases Events Timeline"
from NNDSS MMWR Prod/SOIB, March 30, 2012 was the last day for states
to send 2011 notifiable disease data updates as part of their weekly
NETSS transmissions. Please make the following changes to your PRISM
system to no longer send duel year information in your NETSS file:

1. Open up the Prism.SystemParameter table
2. Find NM_Parameter = 'NETSSMMWRYearPrior'
3. Change it to have a DS_ParameterValue of NULL (all caps).

This will discontinue the duel year processing. You still have until
May 15, 2012 to send the full year-to-date file for 2011. Please make
sure that all records for 2011 are closed (field record, labs,
interviews, maternals, congenitals). After all records are closed, be
sure to update the Active CDC date to eliminate any opening of old
records by mistake. You can do this by following these instructions:

1. Open up the Prism.Codes table
2. Find CD_Type = 'ActiveCDCDate'
3. Change DS_Description = '01/01/2012'

If you have any questions about closing out your year or creating your
final 2011 file to send to CDC, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Have a great day.

Mary
