That's the southern most point about 1/3 mile or little more from the cruise port. Local "wiccans" have at times constructed conch alters/memorials and bonfires. I've seen dive boats in the area. And their inflatables beached just east of the point. But it's the windy side so not necessarily a beginner/novice snorkeling spot. You can reach out to Blue Water Divers or Grand Turk Diving and ask if they go there. I doubt Oasis Divers would since they cater directly to cruise passengers via ship excursions.

I know this is quite late- probably un-needed at this point but came across this thread just now. In case anyone in the future has interest- the southern most point "Boaby Rock Point/White Sands Beach" in my opinion has the best offshore snorkeling on the island. The water can be choppy depending on conditions as its not on the sheltered side (it's not as bad as the eastern-completely unsheltered side). I have snorkeled this several times on my own, simply walking down from the cruise ship. Wife isn't as good of a swimmer so she stays on the beach- everytime having it all to herself as very very few people come down there. The reef here is by far one of the best with corals, fans, formations and has also showed me more marine life than any other spot (eels, rays, several fish types, baracuda, ect). As long as the water isn't too choppy I highly recoomend. Also be vigilant of marinecraft in the area- many boat/jet ski operators come flying around the tip from the cruise port area and don't expect many swimmers in this area, even though it is an actual beach/swimming area--just stay near the reef.

there is a smaller pier just a bit away from the cruise ship pier. just a few minutes away from the cruise ship pier. cant miss it, it is the only pier between the cruise ship pier and the point of the island. just past this smaller pier is where the snorkeling area we go to starts. if you go all the way to the point, probably a fifteen minute walk, and you would need to swim out about a hundred feet or so to get to the good snorkeling. hope this helps!

I did not get to snorkel this area last time in GT, but we are heading there again in February. Has anyone done Boaby rock point lately? if so where is the best place to enter and where is the best snorkeling? How far from shore do you go and what is the depth. Any information will be appreciated.

FYI, the water was a bit too rough for us to feel comfortable snorkeling at the point area. But, the most important info I can provide is after walking around the point DO NOT cut across land (stay on the beach) to make the walk back faster. It's a trap.......SKEETERS! Stay near the water and the developed areas.

We walked to Boaby point last March. We were going to snorkel but the water was way to rough. But it was a bad day. The water was rough everywhere except right by the cruise ship. We couldn't even swim at Governors Beach ?

I tried to snorkel Boaby point in February 2022. It was too windy and choppy with rain on and off. The beach was completely covered with seagrass and large debris, tree branches etc. Getting into water was not easy. Looked like the storm just passed through. I saw some coral and fish but the visibility was too poor that day. I'd love to return when the weather is more cooperative. Hopefully I'll have another chance in November.

sometimes scuba companies send small groups tot he area just north east of the point where there is some "iron shore" but nothing on the beach.. But that's the prevailing wind side and can be rough. there are no facilities near the Point and you are entirely on your own.

At first we tried Baby point. Couldn't fight the current. We walked up the beach from the point, and spotted coral gardens from the shore. I haven't looked in awhile, but I could see them on Google aerial later on. You will be alone after the point, unless you're spotted having fun. Then others will come join you.

If driving, there are two beach accesses that are easy to get to and have parking near the ocean. The Snorkeling Reef Access ? is located near a small reef off the beach, and South Point Access ? is located near the point itself, where ocean conditions are typically a little calmer on windy days than on the windward side of the beach.

How did you book the room with points and your daughter? Every date we searched with a child, our daughter is 3, came up unavailable. But if we searched for 2 adults, lots of availability. Much appreciated.

Looks nice, but a bad use of 40,000 Hyatt points (unless you are the rare person who can gin up an unlimited number of points). I visited Providenciales once on a Delta coach award sale. I like the island, but the resorts are too expensive. The solution I found was to rent a decent -but-not-lux apartment, off the beach, on airbnb for well under $100. We rented a small car and drove to a different beach every day, which was quite easy, as traffic and parking are easy. A nice warm weather vacation for little money and effort.

The route is completely obvious: aim for the low-point in the cliffy horseshoe north of the Little Molas Lake trailhead, then follow the ridge north, ticking off high points. The snow was well-consolidated, and mostly good snowshoeing, so I made about the best time my current slow self could climbing to the saddle. Near the ridge, I was surprised to run into two ptarmigans in full winter plumage. As is their wont, they milled around at a safe distance, allowing me to take plenty of pictures.

However, you get there, a visit to Turks and Caicos is bound to be memorable wherever you stay. You can definitely cut costs by using points and miles for your Turks and Caicos vacation. Enjoy the white beaches and turquoise waters soon!

1) The actual results for the full fiscal year through September 30, 2018 proved to be worse than my March 15, 2018 forecast. As it turned out, debt was higher; revenue was lower; and its interest expense was greater. These three factors together resulted in an Insolvency Ratio of 15.7%, higher than my 15.3% forecast, and it continues to climb, which was a worrying issue I pointed out and explained in my article.

Before you begin to score your turkey, be sure to note that all measurements are taken in 1/16-inch increments and converted to decimal form. A conversion chart for measurements is located at the bottom of this page.

Errick McCollum hit back-to-back threes to reduce Loko's deficit to 4 points (73-77) with 4:52 to play in the game. Anthony Clemmons made a trey (73-80) but McCollum responded with his third three-pointer in a row (76-80).

Andrei Martiuk got one point from the line while Stanton Kidd hit a trey to tie the game at 80. However, Alex Perez and Aaron Harrison scored 2 threes in a row (86-80) with 2:21 to go. Stanton Kidd answered with another three on the other end (83-86). Alan Williams added a two-pointer, one point differed the teams (85-86) with 1:15 on the clock.

Both clubs exchanged with unsuccessful attacks. Aaron Harrison was fouled, he converted one free throw with 20 seconds to play (87-85). Errick McCollum's crucial trey was off the mark and Loko were forced to foul. Alex Perez scored one point from the charity stripe (88-85), while Stanton Kidd shot the ball from his own half. No wonder, the throw was inaccurate.

Turk Telekom led the route through the first two quarters, never letting Lokomotiv be in front. Their lead reached the apex of 9 points in the first half. They did not stop in the third period, gaining a 14-point advantage (60-46). Aaron Harrison initiated the Turkish squad's successful stretch.

The on-site gym was small but well-appointed. I typically like to get in a couple of workouts on vacation and had everything I needed for a full-body weight and cardio routine here. A bonus is that the gym is air-conditioned!

None of the instruments is strictly Middle-Eastern, and the score encompasses a spectrum from fully notated to improvised, with some sections in open score. This combination of instruments from different traditions and the relative freedom of the instrumental writing brings an international perspective to the score. Fundamentally, Bushra's idea is to give voice to musicians who are rebels within their own traditions, each musician is well versed in their own traditions and Western classical, and she points out that each musical tradition has its own high art and folk elements. Each player brings their own sense of improvisation, use of traditional modalities and melodic structures, but within Bushra's structure. She describes the result as a harmonic playground, each player ends up finding themselves, taking elements from Bushra's language and exploring them using their tradition's modes and such. Their musical language speaks to her own, and they find a meeting point.

In my opinion, the power hand (which is your bottom hand on the stick) positioning on the shaft along with the downward force trajectory (for the type of shot taken), plays a key role in where the flex point could start.
