Dear Friends:
I’ve been invited to offer a keynote session for this year’s Global Education Conference, or “GlobalEdCon,” and I’m reaching out to ask for your help sharing this opportunity with your networks. The title of my session is “Meeting in the Middle: Avoiding the Exploitative Pitfalls of Global Learning,” and the session will take place online on Tuesday, November 18 at 9pm ET.
Those of you who know me know that the topic of equity in global education is one I’m deeply passionate about, as are many of the organizations I work with, and I’d appreciate your help letting teachers know about the session. If you can make it yourself, I’d be thrilled to have you in the conversation as well.
You can find details about the keynote at
http://www.principledlearning.org/events--recordings.html, including a live link into the session for Tuesday evening. I’m also involved in a session with WorldVuze on Monday evening and Town School (with Hindo connecting from Sierra Leone) on Wednesday, and information for those is available in the same place on my website.
Thank you for supporting equitable and authentically collaborative global education. The entire conference is excellent, and I hope you’re able to connect for some of these important conversations.
Jennifer
