Yesterday we officially completed scrutineering and received the clear to start!!!
We were very happy to pick up our five additional support team members from the airport, Jen & Bill Dale, Chris O., Trey McCartt and James Hill, the representative from ITC Global who brought us Australian CB radios and our satellite phone.
Jackson and I both spent some time on the track, testing acceleration and regen breaking to ensure that the battery modifications were successful. Jackson also did some hot laps in preparation for tomorrow when he will complete the team's single lap to qualify. We were very pleased with his times and know he will represent the team, Principia, and the United States on Saturday.
We also had fun attending the opening BBQ with all the teams last night and returning to Mindil beach to do some souvenir shopping. Today will be spent making final preparations for our drive down "the track" - packing Lead, Chase, Scout, and Truck. If we get finished with all our tasks early enough, we are hoping to visit Berry's Springs for a swim!
We are looking forward to dynamic scrutineering and the track qualifier tomorrow. Don't forget to check our Facebook page and listen to our PIR updates at 4pm.
