Sidebar Dictionary is a multi-language dictionary and translator optimized for those who love reading and/or writing on Windows 8 and Windows 8 RT. It gives you the most natural experience to get side-by-side dictionary and translation support: simply select and copy the text, tap Sidebar Dictionary, get the job done!
Unfortunately, I do not know how to achieve the latest task. The best I could do is the following script, which simulates the keyboard shortcut to toggle the sidebar. This is unsatisfactory as it hides the sidebar only if it was previously shown.

By enabling the themeConfig.docs.sidebar.hideable option, you can make the entire sidebar hideable, allowing users to better focus on the content. This is especially useful when content is consumed on medium-sized screens (e.g. tablets).
The themeConfig.docs.sidebar.autoCollapseCategories option would collapse all sibling categories when expanding one category. This saves the user from having too many categories open and helps them focus on the selected section.
Both Windows and Mac OS X desktop windows include a sidebar by default. This column, which appears on the left side of each open window contains links to common folders, such as the Documents, Music, Pictures, and Downloads folders. It provides easy access to common locations on your computer, no matter what directory you are currently viewing.
Sidebars are also used by many software programs. For example, Web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari use a sidebar to display bookmarks and bookmark folders. Email clients, like Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird display mail folders or new messages in the left sidebar, while the message content is displayed to the right. Word processors, such as Microsoft Word and Apple Pages, can be configured to display a list of all the pages in a document within the left sidebar.
Websites often use sidebars for navigation purposes. These sidebars typically contain links to the main sections of a website. If the sidebar is part of the website template, it provides easy access to any section of the website no matter what page you are viewing. When the primary navigation of a website is located in a sidebar, it may also be called a navigation bar.
A sidebar is a term used in legal proceedings to describe a conversation or discussion that occurs between the judge and attorneys outside the hearing of the jury. It often takes place at a small table, called a sidebar, that is located near the judge's bench but out of the jury's earshot. During a sidebar, lawyers are able to consult with the judge on legal matters that may arise during the trial, such as objections, evidence, or legal arguments.
The purpose of a sidebar is to allow lawyers to discuss legal issues that may not be appropriate for the jury to hear or that might disrupt the course of the trial. The judge ultimately decides whether to allow or disallow evidence, legal arguments, or other matters related to the trial, but a sidebar provides a forum for a judge and attorneys to discuss such issues before the trial continues.
The sidebar is a persistent pane located on the side of the browser, which coexists with the primary content of the browser. The sidebar reduces the need to constantly switch between tabs, resulting in a more productive browsing experience.
Extensions can optionally use the sidebar API to show a custom UI in the Microsoft Edge sidebar. Extensions can continue appearing in the Microsoft Edge toolbar along with a UI such as popups, and can inject scripts, for example.
sidePanel.open() allows extensions to open the sidebar through a user gesture, such as clicking the action icon, or through any user interaction on an extension page or content script, such as clicking a button.
Or, users can click the extension's custom icon in the toolbar, if it's enabled. This user experience requires that the extension has enabled the shortcut icon to open the sidebar, as described in Enable the extension's shortcut icon to open the sidebar, above. If the openPanelOnActionClick() property of the PanelBehavior type is set to true, the user can open the sidebar by using a keyboard shortcut. To enable this, you specify an action command in the manifest.
To restrict access to explicit content in Dictionary for yourself or for a family member, modify Screen Time settings. Choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Screen Time in the sidebar. Choose a family member, click Content & Privacy, then click Content Restrictions. See Change Content Restrictions settings in Screen Time.

Sidebar Dictionary is a free Windows 8 dictionary app. Sidebar Dictionary is a multi-language dictionary app; using which you can find meanings and translation to various words. You can also copy a word from other app and this app will automatically detect the word from clipboard and the meaning of the word will be shown. You can also search for words, listen to them in speech form, and use the app in snap view also. This app uses your internet connection to find meanings.
If given, a dictionary of parser classes for different source suffices. Thekeys are the suffix, the values can be either a class or a string giving afully-qualified name of a parser class. The parser class can be eitherdocutils.parsers.Parser or sphinx.parsers.Parser. Files with asuffix that is not in the dictionary will be parsed with the defaultreStructuredText parser.

The keys can contain glob-style patterns [1], in which case all matchingdocuments will get the specified sidebars. (A warning is emitted when amore than one glob-style pattern matches for any document.)
This will render the custom template windowssidebar.html and the quicksearch box within the sidebar of the given document, and render the defaultsidebars for all other pages (except that the local TOC is replaced by theglobal TOC).
We made it easier to look up specific words from inside the library. Find the dictionary by clicking on a text to bring up the resources sidebar, then scroll down until you find Dictionaries. You can type in Hebrew using your computer's Hebrew keyboard or click on the keyboard icon in the search bar and type on the virtual Hebrew keyboard.
