The Office of Program Evaluation and Government Accountability (OPEGA) exists to support the Legislature in monitoring and improving the performance of State government by conducting independent, objective reviews of State programs and activities with a focus on effectiveness, efficiency and economical use of resources. Within this context, OPEGA also evaluates compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Potential applicants are encouraged to engage directly with DOE's Loan Programs Office (LPO) for no-fee, no-commitment consultations to discuss their proposed project and learn about LPO's process before formally applying. LPO manages a portfolio comprising more than $30 billion of loans, loan guarantees, and conditional commitments covering more than 30 projects. Overall these loans and loan guarantees have resulted in more than $50 billion in total project investment.
Participation is initiated through a point-based, self-assessment checklist with which offices can evaluate their current practices, set goals, and be recognized for their sustainable practices. As participants complete the checklist, points are automatically tallied. When an office earns points above a set threshold, it will achieve Green Office certification.
From Harvard Square to the Oval Office ("Oval Office") is a non-partisan, co-curricular political training program of the Women and Public Policy Program that provides a select group of Harvard graduate students with the tools and support they need to ascend in the electoral process at the local, state, and national levels. The Oval Office program is designed to inspire students to run for office through hands-on trainings, by growing their networks, and by connecting them with an array of leaders who serve as role models to the cohort.

The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) has launched a new statewide benchmarking program and website, Building Performance Colorado (BPC). This program aims to increase energy efficiency and decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the building sector, and save Coloradans money by reducing energy costs.
The Colorado Energy Office has partnered with ChargePoint to build EV fast-charging stations along the state's major transportation corridors. In the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Years 1990 and 1991, Congress authorized the transfer of excess DoD property to federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. Through subsequent revisions, the NDAA for Fiscal Year 1997 established the Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO) Program to facilitate 10 USC 2576a.
Under this authority, excess Department of Defense property (equipment) that might otherwise be destroyed, may be conditionally transferred to participating law enforcement agencies across the United States and its Territories.
Since inception, the program has transferred over $7.6 Billion worth of equipment (based on the items Original Acquisition Value [OAV]). In Fiscal Year 2022, $160 Million (based on OAV) worth of equipment was conditionally transferred to participating law enforcement agencies.

The Regional Office Program issues water/wastewater permits (WW Permits) for soil based wastewater systems with flows of less than 6,500 gallons per day, for potable water supplies (water supplies that are not public water supplies), and for municipal water and sewer connections. Permitting staff are located in five Regional Offices. Staff also administers the licensed designer program and reviews innovative and alternative systems for potential use in the state.
