Position : System Admin (Linux and Apache)
Location: Woodbury, MN
Duration: 12 Months Contract

 

The person contracted for the position of IT Apache Configuration Analyst will manage multiple, simultaneous migrations of application webservers to new architecture and security standards; including the technical aspects, client

coordination and communication.
 
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the tasks to migrate the webservers for each application to the new architecture and standards.
Coordinate and communicate with the application owners and stakeholders for timing, testing, and verification of the changes.
Perform the technical steps for each migration, involving tasks within Linux, DNS, Load Balancer, Firewall, and SiteMinder integrations.
Regularly report status and issues.
 
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of professional IT experience.
Strong experience with Linux / Bash scripting.
Strong experience with Apache Webserver configurations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with a large, mission critical web server environment Experience administering JBoss and/or WebSphere.
Experience in Java script / PHP / ASP coding.
Ability to multi-task and deal with high pressure situations in a fast-moving environment.
Project administration or project management experience and capability.
