Tri-City Driving School, LLC (Tri-City Driving) is located in Colonial Heights, Virginia. As one of the local leading driving schools, we have successfully educated as well as trained over 10,000 teens and adults into confident, safe, and responsible drivers.

We specialize in educating our students in collision-free, defensive driving techniques combined with comprehensive classroom theory, which provides you with a solid foundation and thorough understanding of the driving rules and regulations of the Virginia roads. All of the Tri-City Driving courses with all major courts and licensed through Department of Motor Vehicle.

We are open and offering services for Driving Improvement, Behind the Wheel and 3 Fail Learners Permit Re-examine call 804-526-7798 for details. During this time of COVID-19 all students and staff must wear a mask.

The last two days will be test days and will be held at one of our locations. We cannot administer online tests per State rules. Generally it will be held at our Detroit location. Please note if the classes are held during the winter months the behind the wheel drives will not be held in inclement weather i.e snow over 1 foot or sleet and hail. Please understand if we have to cancel this is for your students safety as well as ours. However any canceled drives will be rescheduled. Thanks

IMPORTANT NOTE
Your student should have a designated place in your home free from noise and distractions. Under any circumstance your student cannot be in a vehicle during class time. The state has very strict rules as far as class participation and attendance are concerned, so they cannot miss any days. Also if your student is engaged in any activity during class time not related to the course, they will be given ONE verbal warning, After the second occurrence they will be terminated and you will have to pay the full fee for your student to attend again. Classes are recorded per Michigan Drivers Education Rules.

Students must have held a valid Level 1 license for a minimum of 3 consecutive months. Students must have completed a minimum of 40 hours of driving time and 3 hours have to be night driving, with a parent, legal guardian, or, with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, driver who is 21 years of age or older. A student must possess a Level 1 license to drive a motor vehicle.

We offer comprehensive driver education packages for teens that include the required 30 hours of classroom and 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training. Plus, you can take the written and road skills tests right at our driving school.

Adult 14 Hour Pre-Licensing Course

Mr. Younger has been an integral part of this company for several years now. While we lived in Illinois he was the fleet manager and an instructor. Here in Utah, he still does both jobs, just for a smaller fleet. Mark and Joyce have relocated to Park City to be closer to their daughter who lives in Salt Lake City. They are enjoying the mountain life immensely! Mark will be the main instructor for our operations out here so most of you will get a chance to meet him behind the wheel!

Hello!! Just wanted to share a quick story. My daughter took her driver's test last Thursday (she passed, yeah!!!) When she returned the first thing her instructor/tester(?) said to me was "money well spent mom". I was confused at first but he went on to say that he noticed she took driver's ed with Joyce's and what a wonderful job she did and how great of a driver she was. He said he had 3 other students from Joyce's that day and that they all did a great job. He said they must have some great instructors at Joyce's and what a great job they do. I'm sure he see's students from many schools in the area and what a compliment to Joyce's that he would go out of his way to mention that. Thought you should know! Thanks Joyce's!!!!!!

On The Road Driving School was established in 2001. Our 5 driving instructors and 3 classroom instructors are experienced, knowledgeable, and DMV certified. We live in the community we serve. Our clients love us for our professional service and flexibility. We offer pick-up and drop off services if needed. We can also provide extra practice to our students that need it.

Our owner has taught driving education at the local high school for the last 25 years. He got behind the wheel for 24 of those years, teaching basic driving to the students in the high school. He enjoys driving with the students and teaching them to be safe drivers as they mature into adults.
