Need a complete guide for Appium integration with Redwood HQ.
I tried searching all over the internet, however couldn't find a single guide which can, step-wise, explain how to integrate Appium test cases with Redwood HQ.
Can someone help please?

Hi,

What you tried to do so far that hasn't worked? RedwoodHQ is just a framework. I think what you should focus on doing first is getting you appium environment set up and executing test scripts. Once you have that then it will be almost trivial to incorporate into RedwoodHQ actions based framework.

Hi @Freddy, Thanks for your response. I have already written all appium test cases and they are running fine.
What I need is a tight and native integration with Redwood HQ with Appium like it has for Selenium.
I.e. I should be able to create test cases using drag-and-drop actions like there are for Selenium. All my Appium test cases should run under Redwood HQ giving me correct status of each run (pass, fail, pending, etc.)..

Basically, whatever is there for Selenium, I want to have it for Appium as well.
Can you help please?

If you have your appium environment running then, in order to incorporate into RHQ just add the dependency to ivy.xml and start developing your action code. The instructions to develop actions for Appium actions would be the same as developing action code for Selenium, web services, jmeter, etc. No difference.

1. develop the action code
2. add an action and map to the action code run method
3. add a test case that utilizes the action

Finally, my team member has just submitted a complete working code of RedwoodHQ integration with Appium for mobile functional test automation.

We call it Wheat.

Here is the link .. https://github.com/Talentica/Wheat

Dear Freddy,

I moved with your post and i noticed you have mentioned Jmeter which is a PT library, do you have any experience in developing a a selenium scripts (functional script) and run it on Jmeter using RHQ as a load test scenario ?

if yes, can you provide us with a short description and important topics about this experience!?

Thanks in advance,
Mazen
