Hi,

My cousin is having the mutation in CD40 Ligand gene.( CD 40L ) present on the X chromosome .This has resulted in resulting in a X-;linked form of Hyper IgM syndrome.

I am looking for treatment for him.

Any guidance please

Dear Sangeetha Bangar

Your cousin needs PCP prophylaxis with Septran 1 BD on Alternate days
three times / wl
He need to receive IvGG once every 4 wks 400 mg/kg
Any infection need to be treated vigorously after isolating the
organism.
Pts of CD 40 L are also prone to tuberculosis, Isospora & viral
infections.
Isolating the organism is the key.
Curative Rx is BMT.
Hope this answers u r querry
