When Sean was exposed in school, although Sean is on twice monthly IVIG, the doc put him on a 2 week course of Acyclovir. At the end of the course, Sean developed a very large fever blister on his lip, which the immune doc said could have been as a result of his exposure to chicken pox, and added 2 more weeks to the Acyclovir course and added topical Zovirax to the mix.
He never got the chicken pox. By the way, Sean had a nasty caseof shingles at 3 years old.
