Ozone is certainly a serious pollutant and we need to act on it; the focus
of this conference, however, was pricing carbon as a means to transition to
a low-carbon economy and slow down global warming.

The conference, which was overwhelmingly well-received, is a first step
towards many more of its kind.

I appreciated the organizers' emphasis on grassroots participation and
input, and look forward to the next one.
