Dear all,

The second session of the Priberam ML Lunch Seminars is scheduled for March 12th at 1 PM at Instituto Superior Técnico (room EA4, North Tower, Alameda Campus). Please note that this year the venue may vary for each session, so be sure to double-check before the event.

This time we have the pleasure of hosting a presentation by Ricardo Rei, a senior research scientist at Unbabel, specializing in machine translation and natural language processing. He is also the main the main developer of the COMET evaluation framework, which has become the industry standard metric for evaluating the quality of machine translation, and we will present us with the recently introduced XCOMET metric, which integrates both sentence-level evaluation and error-span detection capabilities.

As usual, the lunch bags are on us! :)
