Original Email from Kermit

Hi Lacey/everyone,
Lacey's e-mail made me realize we have a deadline to get the Paso Mag Ad to the magazine (!)
> Space reserved              8th of the month
> Materials due                10th of the month
> print ready submitted    15th of the month    preceding publication

I am not sure what the distinction between materials vs print ready means - I think we have until the 15th, which is next Friday.  We have reserved 1/8 page/and it is paid for, so it is "reserved"

To that end, I put together a quick / simple ad that is what I envisioned at the last meeting.  Obviously, we could spend days/weeks/months trying to figure out the "perfect" ad, but we can change the ad every month.  So if there are other ideas or verbiage that should change, please chime in.
I have put ai & pdf files in the Paso Food Co-op / Marketing / PasoMagAd folder on the google drive:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xV3LCk6DlaXFMtNPk6eB9jFz8etz4Dfs?usp=sharing
There is also their specs on ad submission in a PDF.

Lacey, if you could commit to getting them what they need by next Friday, that would be wonderful.   I have the full ad packet if you want me to send it to you.
Attached are PDFs / sample ads.

I will make this happen. Thanks Kermit for putting together exactly what you need and even taking the initiative to design something. I am impressed and thankful to know you have those skills in your back pocket!

I also plan on putting together more extensive branding guidelines to make it easier if anyone, did need to design something they could and it would look cohesive with everything else.

Branding is what I do. I have created, or my design elements have been used, in much of what the public sees when it comes to the co-op.  I’ve worked really hard on this over the last couple years.  I know it may seem trivial to some, but branding builds trust and recognition with our audience. It is important.

I will send over a proof soon. Please send any feedback on what we have so far.

Thanks again!

Please see attached proofs for the Paso Mag Ad

I thought about the wording.  This is going to a much broader audience than we normally get. I think we need to acknowledge that most people don't know what a co-op grocery store is.

I changed the wording to hopefully entice curiosity and get them to the site to learn more.

What do you all think?

Does that match specs for 1/8 page ad?  Dimensions look wrong.

As for wording, I think we need to try a different approach each month to make people notice - for first one, looks great.  We could also imagine a thread for several months - not everyone will catch it, but those that do will be intrigued...

Only concern is specs & deliverables to mag.

Thanks!

Oh goodness! Thank you. I had transposed a couple numbers on the size. All fixed.

I haven't heard anything from anyone so I say we are good to go.  If you could please submit the art file to Millie Drum:

then we can make sure we are OK.  We still have a few days to make any changes if they point out any issues.

You can cc me in case she doesn't make the connection.

Thanks!

May ad looks great. Is there a plan to change for the next ad or are we going to continue with what we have? We don't meet until after the deadline so I am gentling reminding. :)

Looks great. Do you think we should remove reference to site search?

No - even though it isn't the direct inquiry that Jac had suggested, it does indicate that we need a n actual location, which may trigger something to someone.

Here is proposed Paso Mag ad for October issue:

This will be due Sept 10, but I will be out 5-12, so pretty much needs to submitted by Sep.4

Actual link / website depends on our approval for .coop domain - hopefully we will find out this week.

Any other ideas on wording / what to ask ?
