Steering Committee Meeting Notes 3-21-19

Here are some quick notes I took during the meeting. Please feel free to comment with questions or additions to anything we talked about.  It was a great meeting! I also just want to say I really appreciate everyone.  I know many of us feel torn in so many direction in life, but we keep persevering.  Thanks everyone!

Steering Committee Meeting Notes:

Past Events: Lone Madrone - 2 new members, Marci super supportive, lots of pictures, really good time.  Gabe will be uploading photos to the google drive and dropping the link to a new discussion topic. 

Mail Chimp - We discussed the newsletter, how to manage the list and break up the tasks.  New topic will be created for discussion. 

Linda brought up the FB business posts, still have a few she would love to get....JAC! LACEY! (groves of 41, tagging of FB)

CONTACT JENN - She is going to take over social media as of April 1st, , we are going to discuss her email in the group and respond in the group.  

FACEBOOK IDEAS: Need Local Bites Event locations, t-Shirt sales, the ad in Paso mag, pledge members being called in, we have reached 200 members,  Steering committee meetings, Lone Madrone event

Event Idea: Bristols on a Thursday night and just table. Gabe going to talk to Marci April 25th proposed date. Lacey and her husband can volunteer to table.  This is tentative.

200 MEMBERS! 47 PLEDGES - Send a letter, kermit will draft a letter and we will start this as a new topic to discuss further. We had two of our newest members present and she emphasized the fact we should make it as easy as possibl

LACEY - EDIT JOT FORM: Change the Pledge offer for the website for them to pay off the remainder of the balance. 

Paso Market Walk - Lydia going to a meeting on Friday and will report back to the group. 

Bought T-shirts - We need to take a picture of the t-shirts. Jac brought up that we will be selling all of them.  Can we set up a store online? discussed the logistics of it all. Jac brought up he could possible do the shipping, he does for his busines. Further discussion led us to wanting to exploring working with NCI - Lacey will contact and Jac will be the physical presence if needed. 

Kermit went over the finances and reviewed the balance sheet, Magazine ad is going in, things are going well with the finances and all the paperwork is submitted to get reimbursed by the grant for the items purchased. 

30 in 30 - June possibly. New topic will be created for discussion. 

June is the annual member meeting - Oak Creek Commons possibly - Gabe going to talk to OCC and start that up.

I'd say also list Kermit for Website - I've started reviewing & removing out of date items.  If anyone runs across stuff that needs changing, just let me know.  Also, are there 2 more members?  Should website numbers change?

Jot forms - I don't have info on this site, and I thought we had a billing/payment issue with that site.  If so, let me know.  We do know have a debit card, and I am using that to pay for online Quickbooks (instead of Greg's card).

Will draft pledge letter over weekend for review.

Kermit, I went ahead and changed the jot form...it's the only form we have to join online, so I am not quite sure what issues you have had, but I am out of touch on that. I also noticed that when I submitted my initial information as a test, I only had two options for payments.  $25 per month for a year and the full amount.  I reflected those two options in the jot form.  I have the jot form information saved to my computer...and I am not sure what the password is. Take a look. I will let you take the lead from here. You just let me know if the jot form need any other updating.  I'll work on getting you the password. Thanks Kermit!

Just an update on some of these items:

Tshirts have arrived!

 

Already know a few members that want to purchase.  What were we doing for collections?

Marci has not corresponded about April event @ Bristols yet.

I will not be here for our meeting on the 18th.  Is someone able to get the Tshirts from me so that they can be dispersed at the meeting?

Also finally getting around to the drive, uploading photos and I received one updated member address.
