I am trying to create another apple ID for my wife's iPhone so it will be different to mine. In following the instructions, I went to the app store and clicked on the sign in button and signed out of Icloud. However I don't se the create a new apple id. My wife's iphone is a mini 12.
Thak you for your prompt response but I followed the instructions. First, let me clarify that my wife's iphone has been activated so I could not use instruction #1. I had to go to instruction #2 going to the App store, clicking the sign in button and signing out of icloud. It says that there should an option saying, "Create a new Apple ID". I don't see that option.
When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. See Winston Churchill's response in the below discussion. If possible, also set up Family Sharing between the IDs to keep access to your apps/purchases.
I've purchased a used MacBook Pro 13-inches 2014 via a dealer. I tried to register it under my Apple ID, but it says that the product is already registered under a different ID, probably the previous owner has done it. The problem is, the previous owner has uninstalled iPhoto and iMovie. I wish to reinstall them, but have no way to contact the original owner. Is there any way to amend this or will this MacBook Pro be permanently listed as the original owner's product?
Unless you can get the original owner to remove it from his account it will be listed as such for ever. If Find My Mac is active you will also not be able to track or lock the Mac (but the previous owner will, whenever they feel like it). Also if Back To My Mac is on the previous owner can login to your Mac whenever they want to.
That's not how Find My Mac works. Find My Mac is linked to your icloud account. You can setup your Mac with your icloud account and turn on Find My Mac. Registering the device with Apple is altogether different and is used to help streamline repairs only. Not too vitally important. Back to My Mac is also linked to icloud accounts and can be found under icloud in settings.
I have a little problem that I don't know how to solve. I bought a used iPhone 6 a month ago, I made an apple id, but the problem arises when I want to register icloud, it throws me a notification that the maximum number of icloud is registered on this phone. Please can you help me to solve the problem, I am using iphone for the first time, and I am very enthusiastic about it but I can't solve this problem on my own so please help.
I have a client with a Squarespace-hosted domain who wants to use custom email with iCloud+. I've entered the supplied DNS records, following the instructions from Apple to first try the records as provided and, if those don't work, to make some adjustments.
Discrepancy: While troubleshooting, I found that in Apple's instructions, the DKIM settings specify the Type as a CNAME record. But, in Squarespace help pages for SPF and DKIM records, SS says it should be entered as a TXT record. I have done both, and neither work.

I have inputted all of the DNS information that apple gave me, and nothing seems to be happening. Apple wants me to input all my "existing" emails with my domain, but I dont have any existing ones. I just want to use Iclouds service where I dont have to pay SS 6$ a month just for a custom email as I am already paying apple. When ever I put my desired email in that section, I am unable to verify that email becase I dont have one through square apce yet. I have tried many times to verify both my icloud and @watchtowerinspections email and the furthest I will get is apple saying it may take up to 72 hours for the changes to take affect. Then nothing happens. Super frustrated.
The same can be done for any other records regarding your website. I've checked all of my records and they're properly set (the dig command has helped me confirm this), but iCloud is still saying I need to check my DKIM record.
