Hi users,
I'm very pleased to let you know that Sandro Tosi from the Debian GNU/
Linux project has packaged PrettyTable 0.5 (and has volunteered to
package future releases) for Debian's famous Advanced Packaging Tool,
or "apt".
PrettyTable is currently in the "unstable" suite - see
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/main/python-prettytable.
Hopefully before too long it will be accepted into the "testing" suite
and then eventually make its way into "stable" sometime in the future.
Once PrettyTable hits testing, Debian users whose system is configured
to fetch packages from the testing repositories should be able to use
"apt-get install python-prettytable" to automatically install
PrettyTable (and, if necessary, Python) on their system (and similar
commands to uninstall, update, etc).
Thanks to Sandro for his work on this! Feel free to follow his fine
example by packaging PrettyTable for your favourite operating system's
package management system! :p
