Jai Gurudev
Hope everyone is doing good.
Here in Slough & Reading, AOL volunteers have been involved for some time with another charity called AgeLink.
AgeLink is a registered charity, founded 38 years ago that offers the opportunity to lonely, disabled and housebound old people in London neighbouring borough to meet for car outings, tea parties, seacoast trips, boat trips, senior citizens' parties, health clinics and christmas parties.
On 1st Sep 2013, AOL volunteers have been busy driving elderly people for a boat trip, which they all enjoyed, especially with the sunny weather. And on September 15, a charity walk will take
place from Hampstead Underground.
Either you can do the walk yourself and raise some money for the Charity or you can sponsor someone that is walking to raise funds.
If you
are working in a company which has got this policy to double the money raised for charity, perhaps you can arrange for such sponsorship for the charity walk. At present, we have the following people whose companies will match the amount raised:
Mr (Vijay) & Mrs (Rupa) Shah of United Trade &Services Ltd , Mr Ganesh Bogadala of Raga Foods, and from National House Building Council (NHBC) Rajreddy Myakala, Paul Jakeman, Ian Pugh/ Kofo Ogunko/ Robert Macdonald/ Trevor
Woodroof whose companies will match the amount of money they raise for Age-Link Sponsored Charity Walk.
We need more companies like this so as to increase the funds collected.
If you would like to participate in the walk, or raise funds, please fill in the attached form and contact
the office bearer of Agelink. Details provided in the form.
Many thanks
