Hello all,

I am trying place an image icon inline with the text within a paragraph.  From what I am reading, it should work if it is inside the <p> tag; however, it is formatting the image on a line by itself.  Any advice? (I do have the image small enough that it is roughly the size of the fonts around it)

Thanks,
Doug

You want a #sidebyside that contains a #p element with the desired text and an #image or #figure.  This is described here:  Paragraph

Thanks, David. I was actually wanting a small image that is treated like a character in the sentence.

Thanks,
Doug

If you really want an "icon" there is limited support for that. Which can be
expanded if made possible by various fonts, etc.

Subsection 4.1.6: User-Interface Icons
https://pretextbook.org/doc/guide/html/topic-paragraphs.html#topic-paragraphs-8

Tell us nore? Which icon do you want?

Generally, you cannot put an image inside a sentence. Despite being a frequent
request.

Hi Rob,

I was wanting a key font icon for a specific device that resembles the key that would be pressed.  If this is not easy to do, I can try to use prose to explain it.  I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,
Doug

Aah, an icon that looks like a key on a keyboard. We do that. Subsection just
prior to the one I sent you:

Subsection 4.1.5: Keyboard Keys
https://pretextbook.org/doc/guide/html/topic-paragraphs.html#topic-paragraphs-7

Tell us *exactly* which key(s) you are after and we could be even more helpful.
