to PreTeXt support
Hi,

I know it used to be possible to have Canvas render the MathJax of an HTML file by uploading the file into Canvas and then including it in a Module. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EEKthVsGoA) The video description mentions this broke 8 months ago. Has it been fixed, or is there a workaround?

Thanks!
Cuyler

Hi Cuyler,

See Section 29.11: HTML in an LMS, which describes two good solutions, depending on whether or not you wish for the HTML file to be posted on the public web.

Hi Mitch,

Thank you very much! I was able to get it to work.

Is there a way for students to print this content in a usable format? With the upcoming Title II accessibility requirements, I planned to create my course notes in PreTeXt and upload the HTML versions to Canvas. In the past, when my notes were written in LaTeX, they included ample space for students to work through problems during class. I’m new to PreTeXt and am finding it challenging to recreate that same structure.

I noticed in this post (https://groups.google.com/g/pretext-support/c/Rz6n8zBpsA4) that Oscar mentions creating guided notes, which is exactly what I’d like to do. Does that approach require sharing the (potentially untagged) PDF in order for students to have a clean, printable version, or is there an alternative that would still meet accessibility requirements?

Best,
Cuyler

Hi,

I see that it gives print options for some of the blocks of text. Is there a way to see the PreTeXt code for this and the other great examples in this book?

Thanks,
Cuyler
