Fixing deployment from an old setup

Hi everyone,

I have a pretext book whose web version used to work ok with deployment set up from a branch. This stopped working about 3 months ago and I have not been able to fix it. 

I do my edits on a codespace. I think that to fix the problem I need to do deployment through actions and add a new .dev container. On the pretext codespace repo I was not able to locate instructions on how to edit an old project to work with this new workflow and tried a few things to no avail. 

Fore reference, I can build, view and deploy on the codespace and deployment does push changes to main automatically, but it does not seem to update what the url points to (which at this point only shows the readme because I just broke the latest correct deployment). the readme was written by one of my students last year and those instructions used to work on our old repo, but things broke on this new one (or maybe with a new version of pretext?).
