In olden days (i.e., three months ago), I was using LaTeX's Beamer class to produce my PDF lecture slides (so that I could show them and write on them in Notability on an iPad during lecture).  In Beamer, I added the option [t] after \documentclass to force all content to be vertically aligned to the top of the page.  This gave me room to write solutions below the problem statement.

Is there an easy slide-by-slide way to do this?  It is desirable to have problem slides aligned to top but theorem slides aligned to center, but I'll also be happy with a global method.

My current "cheat" is to add numerous copies of
<p><m>\textcolor{white}{M}</m></p>
at the bottom of the slide. (Putting too many such lines isn't a problem since they simply spill over the bottom of the slide.)

Many thanks in advance.

Charles

PS I've converted three books from LaTeX to PreTeXt and figured out how to customize the PDF layout.  I love this program!  Both the HTML and PDF output are beautiful!

Great idea. Thanks, Charles. I should have something in an hour or two. It'll
go on pretext-announce since it this is a bit bigger than a tweak. Notice
that if this is a #slideshow feature, hten we gotta make it happen for the
Reveal version as well.

Thanks for the kind words. And thanks for your input since olden days. This is
a perfect example of how I would like development to go on some of these less
popular conversions - suggestions for enhancements by those using them. And my
new assistant makes quick work of them.

Rob,

Moments ago, I ran another PreTeXt update from VS pretext-tools, and this change that you made works perfectly. This is spot on!  Thousands of thanks.

For other users, the update was probably pushed out sometime around or after midnight this morning (I'm supposing), so you'll need to upgrade now if you're not seeing the @valign changes.

I wish that my computer skills were better; I'd be most happy to offer my services to the project.  But if any members need help with their fountain pens, I'm here.

Regards,
Charles
