I'd been using the CLI 2.13.0 within VS Code for several days without serious incident, but since yesterday the View Full Document command resulted in the error "not enough values to unpack (expected 4, got 0).  I get the same error if I run pretext view web from the command line.

The only changes I (knowlingly) made between the last time things were running and the first time I got the "not enough values" error were in ptx files. The "build" command still runs and gives the cheerful "Success! Run `pretext view` to see the results."

I did have less critical issues before: the first time I did a pretext view after a build I would get ten tabs opening, one with the desired preview but the rest showing an error (which I can't now reproduce). And each time I open SublimeText, I get up pop-up warning
Error loading syntax file: "Packages/PreTeXtual/PreTeXt.sublime-syntax": Apparent recursion within a with_prototype-action: 25000 context sanity limit hit

Just for grins, I did a pretext upgrade to 2.13.2, but the problems still exist.

What happens if you try pretext view web -r ?

No idea on the sublimetext.

This is the result of a change to packages in Sublime. The PreTeXt
package no longer conforms and will not work. I have added a note in the
PreTeXt documentation, but that has not made it online yet (PR pending).

Oh, by the way. I'm on a Windows machine. I'm using "components" to create two versions of mfg, one with inline webwork exercises, and another with those webwork exercises replaced with regular pretext inline exercises.

I just followed a proposed solution from a different discussion:

As a temporary solution for now, you should be able to locate a “.ptx” folder under your home directory (I’m not sure where that is located on Windows machines, but on *nix-likes it’s ~/.ptx). In there you’ll should find a file called “running_servers”. Simply delete this file.

I deleted running_servers and now the view works. Obviously I don't know what's going on, but my laptop seems to be working again.

Thanks.
Bruce
