Today the usual validation is reporting every xinclude as a schema
error. The command I am using (and has worked before) is below. The only
changes on my end are updates to JDK (v 25), jing-trang (whatever git
pull gave me today), and pretext script (again, git pull today).

C:\DATA\Documents\texts\tech_math\source\techmath.ptx:8:41: error:
element "xi:include" not allowed here; expected element "article",
"book", "docinfo", "letter" or "memo"

java -classpath ~/jing-trang/build
-Dorg.apache.xerces.xni.parser.XMLParserConfiguration=org.apache.xerces.parsers.XIncludeParserConfiguration
-jar ~/jing-trang/build/jing.jar ~/pretext/Schema/pretext-dev.rng
/c/DATA/Documents/texts/tech_math/source/techmath.ptx
>/c/DATA/Documents/texts/tech_math/schemaerrors.txt

Dear Mark,

Find the thread titled: "xml:base not allowed" in this group, earlier this month.

I think it is the same problem, just a slightly different symptom?

Follow-up if you think it is really different?

Rob

Maybe? The only errors generated for me are xi:include not allowed and
"chapter" incomplete (because contents are in includes). So, if what you
expect is that validation does not work with includes until some future
update, then this might be the same.

I am not in a rush; working on updating my IBL geometry problem set
which will need a few updates for the latest schema for the fall semester.
