to PreTeXt support
Going off the examples in the PreTeXt sample article, it seems as though interactives using the <interactive> tag should be contained within a figure. However, when editing in VS Code, using Oscar's PreTeXt extension, I receive schema warnings to the effect of

"Missing required content. Expected one of: <image>, <video>, <audio>, <sidebyside>, <sbsgroup>, <score>."

And looking at the various documentations of the RELAX-NG schema for PreTeXt I cannot find any details for the <interactive> tag. Is this tag not included in the schema?

Thanks,

Aaron

Interactive hasn't made it into the schema yet. You can ignore those warnings.

You can also switch to the experimental schema in vs code's settings which knows about interactives, as well as other newer things.

I am also accepting this answer. Thanks, Oscar! I'll give it a go. (And thanks as always for your hard work on the vs code extension.)

In case it helps someone else: I was set to the experimental schema, but I was still seeing that interactive was invalid. I toggled to the stable schema (and closed preferences) and then went back in and switched to experimental again. The error went away and it’s now happy with interactive. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
