I think we would all be happy if this happened! But it is a minefield to do
this in an automated way, so nobody has cracked the problem yet.

I'm very well aware of this style, both from Tufte and from this package. My
recollection is that package would "takeover" lots of aspects of the document so
might be hard to use just for margins. But perhaps there could be a conversion
specifically to this style, much like Oscar's conversions to the style of
specific research journals.
