I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong, or if there was some change, perhaps to the MathJax delimiters, used on the peer instruction page.

I created a few problems using the assignment builder, like this one:
(It is a bad question, I know...)

In the assignment builder, everything renders nicely:

But in Peer Instruction, this is what all of my students (and I) saw:

Am I using the wrong delimiters? The Runestone assignment builder inserts $ delimiters if you select math input from the menu. But maybe I need to use \(... \) delimiters.

I didn't run into this problem earlier in the week.

I'm able to confirm that if I ignore the settings in the Assignment Builder and do \(f(x)=\sin(x)\) instead of $f(x)=\sin(x)$, the math displays correctly.
So there is a conflict between the math delimiters that the Peer Instruction expects, and the ones that the Assignment Builder inserts.

I made an issue about this a little bit ago, and today Brad said he fixed it!
