I sat in on a class last semester using zyBooks, and I have to admit that it works fairly seamlessly.  And yes, they definitely had Parsons type problems.

Does anyone have a sense as to how much smoother/bigger of a library zybooks has than Runestone?  They do seem to fill the same niche, with the obvious caveats we care about here ... on a related note, see https://www.codio.com/blog/zybooks-vs-cbooks and the notion of having an IDE inside rather than the separate modules.  (Codio also has Parson's, FWIW.)

Yes, Codio has had Parsons problems for several years.  They are not the same as what we have in Runestone.  They are not adaptive - at least the last time I checked.
