In a recent build of APEX it was discovered that the toolbar supplied by the MathQuill entry assistance that ships with WeBWorK is now accessible when you activate a WeBWorK problem in a PreTeXt book.

In principle, that could be a cool usability feature, except that at present, there's a bit of an issue, as the screenshot below demonstrates: as soon as you click on an answer blank, the MathQuill toolbar pops up, and it covers the entire thing.

Maybe some tweaks to the JavaScript that powers this feature can make the toolbar less obtrusive?

The good news, in the meantime, is that you can make it go away if you turn off MathQuill in the course that you use for building your WeBWorK representations.

Is that something we need to document?

I will ask Glenn if he is available to make it functional. Then no documentation should be needed.
