Here you go! Any updates could be handled the same way, but be sure to start
with a fresh copy of the very latest version (pushed a few hours ago).

A few suggestions on the German translation (xsl/localizations/de-DE.xml).
Each gives the string-id, then the current German. They are only
suggestions; you know the language far better.
1. listing = "Liste"
This is the same word as for "list", so a program listing and a list
get the same name. German usually says "Listing" for program code (as
the LaTeX "listings" package does).
2. enclosure = "Anhang"
This is the same word as for "appendix". German letters use "Anlage"
for an enclosure.
3. copy = "Kopie"
This labels a button that copies text, so the verb "Kopieren" may fit
better than the noun.
4. running = "Läuft"
In the print options this means the headers or footers on the later
pages, as opposed to "first-page" ("Erste Seite"), rather than "is
running". Something like "Folgeseiten" may fit.
5. readability-theme = "Thema"
This is a color scheme (light, dark, system), so "Design" or
"Farbschema" may fit better than "Thema", which suggests a topic.
6. insight = "Überblick"
"Überblick" reads as "overview". "Einsicht" or "Erkenntnis" would be
closer to "insight".
7. cc = "Kopie(CC)"
A space seems to be missing: "Kopie (CC)".
8. embed = "Einbinden", embed-this-page = "Diese Seite einbetten"
Two different verbs for the same action; perhaps choose one.
9. Still in English: top ("Top"; perhaps "Nach oben"), li ("Item";
perhaps "Punkt" or "Eintrag"), and query ("Query"; perhaps "Umfrage",
since a PreTeXt "query" is an in-page poll or survey).
