[UPDATE] PreTeXt-tools version 1.0.0 now available

After just under 7 years of development, I am happy to announce that the pretext-tools extension for VS Code has received a final push to get to where I'm comfortable calling it a version 1 release.  If you already have the extension installed, it should update automatically.

A few big improvements:

• There is now a PreTeXt panel among your left-hand-side panel views.  From here you can run the main commands, build and view by target, and see an outline of your entire document to easily navigate between divisions.
• We now have a built-in schema validator (we had been relying on RedHat's XML extension for this).  Schema warnings and context aware autocomplete should be much better behaved (you can still switch between the stable and experimental schemas).  This includes immediate warnings about duplicate xml:ids and labels.
• CodeChat has been replaced with a built-in live preview.  In this view, you see the build starting from your current file's main fragment as a single page build.  So not exactly what your document would look like when fully built, but you can now easily sync up what you are typing with what it will look like.  The view can refresh very quickly, and we have two way sync!
• Spell check that is PreTeXt syntax aware is working (again).    Use the CodeSpell extension and it will be smarter about spellcheck.
• Import entire LaTeX projects as a way to start a new pretext project with much improved conversions.  The pandoc converter is working a lot better too.  And if you have a selection of LaTeX or Markdown content you want to paste in your pretext document, the Convert to PreTeXt command will take care of you. 

I'm not planning on ending development here though.  Soon I hope to have a WYSIWYG visual editor (it is in the extension already, but the number of tags available is limited).  And look forward to PreTeXt.Plus style native editing of LaTeX-style PreTeXt and Markdown-style PreTeXt that converts to PreTeXt output automatically.
