In a previous thread on pretext-support I asked about current practices
for typesetting tests using PreTeXt. The consensus was that because test
structures do not have consensus there is no direct support for this
type of document. This seems reasonable to me.

Now, however I am thinking about the next step. As part of grading for
growth, I want students to be able to learn from their mistakes on a
test which has included an answer key so they can check their work
against a model response. With the changes to the requirements coming in
April, the hastily prepared PDF keys will no longer function. This sends
me back to PreTeXt for typesetting, or maybe I need to look at the way I
provide test feedback.

Any thoughts on either how to effectively typeset tests/keys in PreTeXt
or to provide the same level of feedback without would be appreciated.

I am using worksheets to type up my tests and solutions in PreTeXt. I post the HTML conversion to Canvas using a SCORM bundle that PreTeXt can produce. I prepare the version that goes to our copy center by using the LaTeX conversion and then dropping that into my exam template with cover sheet, etc.

Another way I am providing solutions, in my case for homework, is just to use pages in Canvas. Since I am teaching from my own text, that is now allowing me to also easily drop those solutions into my PreTeXt source so that I can think about a solutions manual in the future. (I just use the PreTeXt-tools feature in VS Code that lets me convert LaTeX to PreTeXt.)

I notice that the documentation on worksheets is limited. 3.1.1 has no
syntax and 4.7.3 is blank. There is no entry in the schema descriptions.

Mitch, if you are willing to share an example, I would appreciate seeing
the syntax.
