Childrenand adolescents with brain, spine and peripheral nervous system disorders need the best medical care. The Neurosciences Center offers patients and families a comprehensive approach from initial diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation and long-term follow-up care. Our program is designed to offer patients a disease-specific, patient-focused approach.

We offer comprehensive, family-centered care from renowned experts in pediatric neurology. We participate in clinical and scientific research programs, and our faculty members play prominent roles in national and international neurological organizations.

Neurodiagnostics provides testing of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system. Testing may include routine and long-term EEG testing, evoked potentials and ambulatory EEG. We work closely with multiple departments to help patients with problems of the nervous system.

From the most complex brain and spinal disorders requiring the most challenging interventions to more common conditions and procedures, our expert team of pediatric neurosurgeons and neurosurgery nurse practitioners offers the complete spectrum of multidisciplinary care.

We help patients rehabilitate from brain injuries, head and spinal cord injuries, stroke, burns, cancer, muscular dystrophy and other muscular disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, amputation/limb deficiency, and other physically disabling conditions and injuries.

When you choose Nationwide Children's Neurosciences you are choosing a team of physicians and other health care providers in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuromuscular Disorders, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Sleep Medicine offering expert care of pediatric neurological conditions.

Built from the ground up in partnership with our patients, the Stanford Neuroscience Health Center is a one-stop care destination designed to meet the unique needs of people with neurological disorders.

As one of the first outpatient settings in the nation to house neurosurgery, neurology, and neurointerventional radiology under one roof, the center combines world-class care, comfort and convenience to transform the patient experience.

While the medicine practiced at Stanford is among the best in the world, it is complemented by a deeply held philosophy that each individual patient has personal and emotional concerns that are just as meaningful as their physical needs.

Patients and caregivers were directly involved in the Center's design to ensure its features accommodate the sensitivities of people with neurological disorders. From its ambient lighting and quiet waiting areas to its easy-to-navigate hallways and floor plan, the Center offers a care setting that supports patient comfort and convenience.

The Stanford Neuroscience Health Center features a streamlined patient check-in and registration system that allows visitors to schedule several appointments during one visit and move from floor to floor without additional check-ins.

The Center concentrates Stanford's neuroscience resources to drive new research in Alzheimer's, stroke, moyamoya, movement disorders, and other conditions. Our doctors and researchers work side-by-side to translate scientific findings into more effective diagnostic and treatment options benefiting patients worldwide. Eligible patients can gain early access to these advances through onsite clinical trials.

Our clinical trials and Neuropsychology space is also home to a NIH-funded Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, where doctors and researchers conduct interdisciplinary studies on Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory disorders.

The Institute for Translational Neuroscience's distinctive structure pulls together existing centers, talent, and resources in order to advance translational neuroscience at the University of Minnesota.

This interdisciplinary laboratory provides unique instrumentation, expertise, and infrastructure to enable the faculty, trainees and staff at the University of Minnesota and other institutions to carry out basic biomedical, translational and clinical research using the capabilities of very high magnetic fields, with a particular focus on neuroimaging.

Bridging neuroscience and engineering, this center encapsulates an emerging scientific field that translates research discoveries into neuro-technologies. These technological innovations provide new, powerful tools for basic and clinical neuroscience research while ultimately serving to enhance patient care.

The overarching goal of the Center for Neurodegenerative Disease is to bring together researchers that have synergistic strengths in basic movement disorder-oriented neuroscience research, and clinical neurosciences. In addition, these researchers collaborate with several different groups including the NINDS Institutional Center Core grant, the Bob Allison Ataxia Research Center and the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Muscular Dystrophy Center.

Founded in 2016, with a desire to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by neurological and psychiatric disease, the James J. and Miriam B. Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences is advancing patient care and neuroscience research.

The Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences brings together skilled clinicians who provide comprehensive, interdisciplinary care through a team-based practice at UT Health Austin, the clinical practice of Dell Medical School, and a network of partner hospitals that diagnose, treat and manage conditions affecting the brain and central nervous system.

Since neurological disorders affect each person differently, the Mulva Clinic team engages patients early in the care process to understand their goals and lifestyle. By doing so, the care team is able to provide individualized care pathways that address the whole person.

The product of this teamwork is a creative environment where experts innovate together on meaningful solutions to improve care. Information about current research at the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences can be found on its specific research website.

The residents of Georgetown, a midsized suburb just north of Austin, are participating in a longitudinal, multigenerational research study to understand how medical and lifestyle interventions might affect the incidence and progression of neurodegenerative disease. The Georgetown Brain Health Study plans to recruit over 5,000 diverse individuals to the study; the work is especially significant because large population cohort studies such as this are limited in this area.
