Volunteer Fair event for Refugee Week Tuesday June 16th at St Cuthberts.

We are writing to tell you about our forthcoming refugee week event. If you are a sanctuary seeker wanting to do contribute to the local community, or someone from the wider community who wants to give time to support asylum seekers and refugees this event is for you.

The aim is to have an afternoon when organisations working in the sanctuary sector who need volunteers, and potential volunteers can meet each other and explore ways of helping each other through volunteering. We will be having some short presentations and live music during the course of the afternoon, there will be drinks available throughout and some food to share towards the end of the session.

If you work or volunteer for a group looking for volunteers, your organisation is welcome to have a presence, a table or display at the event, with members of your staff / volunteers present to talk to potential volunteers and start the process for volunteering.
