Our Trauma workshop is less than two weeks ahead. Please book your place on Evenbrite.

It’s less than two weeks to our planned PCOS workshop aimed at introducing people to some basic aspects of supporting sanctuary seekers who have experienced trauma in various forms. The need for this workshop came out of the discussions emerging at the stakeholder event that PCOS held in March this year.

The workshop will be led by Dr Jeff Morgan, a retired psychiatrist who has extensive experience of working with people whose lives have been impacted by trauma. Jeff has also worked with sanctuary seekers and is a Trustee at City of Sanctuary nationally .

The workshop will provide insights into the impact of trauma on people, it will focus on various case studies and aim to be both informative and interactive. Preston City of Sanctuary hope that organisations who support and work alongside sanctuary seekers will attend this event to be held at the Salvation Army HQ, Harrington Street, Preston PR17BN. Please note that with the exception of Blue Badge provision there is very limited parking at the venue. The building is fully accessible.

We hope to see you and members of your team on Thursday 21st September from 12:30 for refreshments and networking. The workshop will commence at 1pm and finish at 3pm. Following the workshop there will be a further opportunity for networking from 3-3:30pm.
Those with lived experience are very welcome to attend.

Many thanks,
